Kolkata Knight Riders’ cricketer by the name of Rinku Singh played the best innings of his cricketing career while locking horns with Gujarat Titans in the 13th game of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League.

Rinku Singh had a strong belief in himself that he could pull it off in the end. Much to his self-confidence, grit, determination and tenacity, Rinku Singh came out on top much to Yash Dayal’s annoyance in the final battle.

The game was stretched to the final over and the climax had one of the biggest twists in the history of the Indian Premier League. When KKR required 28 off the last 5 balls, Rinku Singh successfully combined his game with sheer power and timing.

As a result, he was able to launch the ball into the stands five times in a row off Yash Dayal’s bowling and helped KKR pull off a heist against Gujarat Titans in the intriguing run-chase.

Suresh Raina has been my idol since the start: Rinku Singh

Rinku Singh scored 48 off just 21 balls where he struck one boundary and six hits over the fence. Rightly so, he was adjudged the Player of the Match. After the game, Rinku Singh became the talking point on social media portals.

Meanwhile, in an interview with India Today, Rinku Singh revealed his idol and he said he grew up watching Suresh Raina. He further added that Raina was a very good fielder during the playing days of his career.

Furthermore, he came up with a similar comparison by stating that Raina bats in lower order just like he does. Last but not least, he said his dream is to play for Team India.

Suresh Raina was once the leading run-scorer in the history of the IPL and is famously called “Mr IPL”. He called it quits from IPL in 2022 after he went unsold at the mega auction in Bengaluru.
