As per reports, Stephen Fleming is in consideration to become the next India Coach. Of course, he has to apply for the role and must undergo the entire process. The BCCI top-brass is reportedly looking forward to appointing Fleming if he indeed applies for the position. On that note, here, we take a look at three candidates CSK could consider as the next Head Coach if Stephen Fleming becomes India Head Coach.

1) Mike Hussey

Mike Hussey is already a Head Coach in some of the other leagues such as the Hundred. Hence, he has the experience and he has anyways been a part of the CSK support staff for a while now.

In the past, as well, MS Dhoni had reportedly recommended Hussey for the role of the India Head Coach. Hence, if MS Dhoni sees potential and with him likely to run things at CSK, it will not be a surprise if Hussey is the next coach of CSK.

2) MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni is one of the candidates CSK could consider as the next Head Coach if Stephen Fleming becomes India Head Coach. Dhoni is likely to retire after IPL 2024.

It is likely that he will take up a Mentorship role at CSK after retirement. However, he also has the potential to become the Head Coach of CSK. He certainly has the credentials. That said, this decision will be down to his view alone.

3) Rahul Dravid

Not many know that in the past, Rahul Dravid used to represent India Cements. It is the same organization that owns Chennai Super Kings right now.

With him unlikely to extend his tenure at Team India, Dravid could choose an IPL team as his next assignment. The CSK job is a very big one and it will not be a surprise if Dravid takes it up.
