Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Rinku Singh achieved the unimaginable in the game against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The batter won the game for his side from the jaws of defeat and helped his side win the game by 3 wickets.
Chasing the target, KKR were very much in the game till the 17th over. But Rashid Khan’s hat trick changed the game for them as they were reduced from 154/4 to 155/7. It was then be then expected that the GT might win as KKR needed 39 runs in 8 balls.
In the last over, KKR required 29 runs and after a single on the first ball, Rinku Singh then unleashed himself and smashed 5 consecutive sixes to win the game for his side. He remained unbeaten on 48 runs and helped his side achieve the famous win.
With his knock, Rinku Singh became the first player in T20 history to smash 5 sixes in the run chase in the 20th over. Notably, this was also the highest target achieved in the last over of an innings in IPL.
