The countdown for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 has begun. The cricket carnival is all set to return. The IPL 16th will take begin from 31st March with the final set to take place on 28th May. The tournament opener will be played between defending Champions Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings at Narendra Modi Stadium.

Talking about Sunrisers Hyderabad, they will kick start their campaign against Rajasthan Royals on 2nd April at Rajiv Gandhi international stadium. It will be a new-look team as they acquired some quality players in Mayank Agarwal, Harry Brook, Heinrich Klassen, Adil Rashid, Mayank Markande and other young players.

They also named Aiden Markram as the skipper for the league after his success in the SAT20, where he led Sunrisers Eastern Cape to the title victory in the inaugural edition. The Orange Army has kickstarted their preparations for the league and the players are sweating hard in the nets.
