On Day 3 of the Dhaka Test between India and Bangladesh on December 24, stand-in skipper KL Rahul was unable to lead his team to victory with a huge knock in their second innings.

As the third day began, India had a commanding lead thanks to wickets from Ravichandran Ashwin, Jaydev Unadkat, Axar Patel, and Mohammed Siraj. But in the second session, with Litton Das at the other end, first Test centurion Zakir Hasan held up his end and put up some fight. Zakir’s innings ended early in the third over, but Bangladesh quickly responded.

Shortly after Nurul Hasan’s short appearance, Litton Das resumed the helm, expanding Bangladesh’s early advantage to more than 100. As a result of a run-out, Bangladesh’s innings was called off with Taskin still at the crease after he had scored 31 runs off 46 deliveries.

In Mirpur, on the third day of the second Test match in India’s current tour of Bangladesh, India skipper KL Rahul was the first batter to be dismissed without adding much.

KL Rahul was the first victim of Shakib Al Hasan’s early dismissal. As the day progressed in the second Test between India and Bangladesh at Mirpur, Mehidy Hasan Miraz took the wicket of Cheteshwar Pujara.

India’s victory in the second Test against Bangladesh at Mirpur was secured by the efforts of Shreyas Iyar and Ravichandran Ashwin. After this victory, India leads Bangladesh in the two-match Test series 2-0. Major setbacks occurred for Team India as they attempted to chase 145, as Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Shakib Al Hasan took five and two wickets, respectively.

Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin afterwards put up a magnificent 71-run stand, leading India to a three-wicket victory. Additionally, Axar Patel hit 34 runs. Axar took three for India, while Ashwin and Mohammed Siraj both took two.

KL Rahul has been suffering from lack of runs in recent games. Fans and experts have started questioning his position in the Indian team. He is now third on the list of Indian openers with the least average in a year. He just has an average of 17.3 in the year 2022.
