Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru are two teams that have not been in good form. In the past, as well, these teams have struggled. Some of the issues that these franchises faced are also the same. One of them is not backing the right talented cricketers. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of four former Punjab Kings cricketers who are playing for RCB in IPL 2024.
1) Swapnil Singh
Swapnil Singh, who recently did well for RCB, has played for PBKS before. In fact, he was also a part of IPL 2008 but did not get a game.
A veteran cricketer, a few teams could eye him in the future editions. He is a spin-bowling all-rounder and has a lot of domestic experience.
2) Glenn Maxwell
Glenn Maxwell is one of the former Punjab Kings cricketers who are playing for RCB in IPL 2024. It was at PBKS that Maxwell arrived in the IPL.
However, he proved his consistency only at RCB. IPL 2024, though, has been terrible for him. It needs to be seen if he can make a strong comeback.
3) Dinesh Karthik
Dinesh Karthik was hired by Punjab Kings for IPL 2011. However, with Adam Gilchrist also being in the squad, he was surplus to requirements.
Later, he was traded to Mumbai Indians. At MI, he was a big success and he played a huge role in the team winning the trophy in 2013.
4) Mayank Dagar
Mayank Dagar is also one of the former Punjab Kings cricketers who are playing for RCB in IPL 2024. Not many know that Mayank is the nephew of Virender Sehwag. Back then when Sehwag was in PBKS as a Head Coach, Mayank was in the team.
Although he started IPL 2024 well, he could not retain his spot in the playing XI. At the moment, it is hard for him to make a comeback.
