IPL 2024 Trade Window is now open. Mumbai Indians have already started making use of it, acquiring Romario Shepherd from Lucknow Super Giants. Meanwhile, some IPL trials are happening across the country. Some interesting trade rumours have also popped up in between. Here, we take a look at the list of three IPL 2024 trade window rumours involving India cricketers ahead of the auctions.
1) Washington Sundar – Sunrisers Hyderabad to Kolkata Knight Riders
Washington Sundar has had a tough run in the IPL in the last two seasons. He was expected to lead the spin attack at SRH but has suffered from injuries and poor form.
Now, as per rumours, he is set to move to KKR in a sensational trade deal. It would be a major event if that happens because Washi is a top India player. KKR already has some good right-arm off-spin options. Having Washi will further make the spin unit lethal.
2) Rahul Tripathi – Sunrisers Hyderabad to Kolkata Knight Riders
Rahul Tripathi moving to Kolkata Knight Riders is one of the IPL 2024 trade window rumours involving India cricketers ahead of the auctions. KKR fans will enjoy this rumour as Rahul is a player whom they love a lot.
The cricketer did not have the best campaign last season. He has lost his place in the Indian Team, as well. It would be a great move for him to back to the franchise where he enjoyed a good phase. For KKR, as well, hiring a steady opener should be a good move.
3) Shams Mulani – Mumbai Indians to Delhi Capitals
Interestingly, the Mumbai all-rounder is attending the Delhi Capitals’ trials. This is despite the franchise having a similar player in the form of Axar Patel.
That said, Axar‘s bowling returns have not been great recently. Hence, it makes sense to have another player of the same profile as a backup. This move, if it happens, might also push Axar further up the batting order at Delhi Capitals.
