Team India will have a difficult time selecting the pace attack for the 2024 T20 World Cup. Jasprit Bumrah will lead the attack while his expected partners Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh are in poor form. Hence, we could see some surprise selections for the event. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three Indian pacers who could surprisingly get selected for the 2024 T20 World Cup.

1) Mukesh Kumar

Mukesh Kumar might not have been in the race to be in the T20 World Cup squad. However, since Siraj and Arshdeep are not in great form, Mukesh might just sneak into the squad.

For Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024, he missed a few games due to injury but he did well whenever he got a chance. Considering he can bowl at all the phases, Ajit Agarkar could ponder about Mukesh’s selection.

2) Mayank Yadav

Mayank Yadav is one of the Indian pacers who could surprisingly get selected for the 2024 T20 World Cup. Yes, he has injury issues right now but if he is fit, he must be included in the squad for the West Indies and the USA.

Mayank has that X-Factor and he is also high on confidence. India needs someone in the middle overs who can control the run-scoring by the opposition batters. Mayank has the attributes with his pace to make that happen.

3) K Khaleel Ahmed

K Khaleel Ahmed played for India but he was very young back then. He failed to do well and hence, he eventually lost his place in the Indian setup.

Even now, he can be inconsistent at times but with the new ball, Khaleel offers a great value. Also, he can hit the deck hard and has decent pace. Moreover, in recent times, he has developed some variations for the death overs. Hence, he could be a pretty good option.
