The season is all but over for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Nevertheless, while RCB will look to avoid a wooden-spoon finish, they will also have an eye on the future. They can use the remaining games to gain clarity on the retentions they would make before the IPL 2025 Mega Auctions. Here, we take a look at the list of three decisions RCB could take to audition players for IPL 2025 Retentions.

1) Have Faf du Plessis out of the XI or in the middle order

One of Will Jacks or Cameron Green needs to be retained by RCB before IPL 2025. If that is the case, both these players must get a chance in the top-order. Hence, Faf du Plessis is not needed at the top.

Faf is also in decent form and it would be hard to drop him. Hence, he could operate at No.5 in the middle order. Or else, the management could take the bold call of keeping him out of the XI.

2) Open the bowling with Cameron Gren

To open the bowling with Cameron Green is one of the decisions RCB could take to audition players for IPL 2025 Retentions. Green is a talented player. It is just that he is not in form.

Green is a proper Test match bowler. Hence, it can be a good idea to open the bowling with him. Anyways, the current new-ball bowlers are not doing well. Now, if Green does well, RCB would get one more reason to retain him for the future.

3) Give Suyash Prabhudessai a chance in the rest of the games

Suyash Prabhudessai is a talented cricket. Therefore, it is surprising that it took half the season before RCB were able to give him a chance.

Nevertheless, RCB can still offer him some games in the remaining tournament. This way, Suyash would get a chance to show his skills as a middle order batter.
