Dewald Brevis is one of the highly-rated youngsters in the present times. He is popularly known as “Baby ABD” because of his incredible potential to play shots quite similar to that of Proteas batting great AB de Villiers.

The youngster has already proved that he can be a destructive batter in the truncated version of the game. Moreover, he has made his batting look so easy and also seems to be hitting sixes with relative ease.

Today, he is one of the most sought-after batters in the world and is also considered as the next big thing in South African cricket. There is literally no doubt that the right-handed batter is a crowd puller.

He hasn’t made an international debut for South Africa and is also not far away from donning the national outfit in the near future. The 19-year-old Johannesburg-born cricketer is actively applying his skills in T20 cricket.

Meanwhile, the youngster expressed his delight after the MI owners purchased his services for the forthcoming SA20 league where he will ply his trade for MI Cape Town in the inaugural edition.

After he was roped in by MI Cape Town, he said that it’s a dream to play for Mumbai Indians and now for MI Cape Town and it will be quite interesting to see how he approaches the T20 league.

He further added that he really enjoys playing especially when the crowds are massive. Earlier, Mumbai Indians purchased the services of the highly-rated youngsters for INR 3 crore at the IPL 2022 mega auction in Bengaluru.

The Johannesburg-born cricketer has played seven games in the IPL 2022 season wherein he scored 161 runs, registering his personal best score of 49. Overall, he slammed 14 fours and 11 sixes to his name.
