Pakistan was able to beat Afghanistan in a low-scoring thriller thanks to two sixes hit by Naseem Shah in the last over of the game. As a result, Pakistan will play in the final of the Asia Cup.

After being assigned to bat first by Babar Azam, Afghanistan had scored 130 runs in their allotted 20 overs, which put the target score for Pakistan at 130.

Pakistan had won the toss and elected to bowl first, to continue their unbeaten run against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup Super 4s match that took place at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

When Afghanistan’s openers began hitting the ball out of the park, the team was off to a strong start and seemed to be well on their way to putting up a big score.

Two fresh batters were brought to the crease after the explosive Rahmanullah Gurbaz was removed by Haris Rauf in the fourth over and Hazratullah Zazai was taken out by Mohammad Hasnain.

After Babar had succeeded in removing the openers, he replaced the two bowlers with Mohammad Nawaz and Shadab Khan, both of whom bowled accurately and applied pressure on the Afghanistan batsmen.

In the end, the strain was too much for Karim Janat and Ibrahim Zadran, who were having trouble playing their shots. Nawaz took out Janat in the 12th over, and Afghanistan was in a precarious situation.

After that point, Afghanistan was held in check by frequent dismissals at the hands of the bowlers as well as tight bowling by the Men in Green.

Only two boundaries hit by Rashid Khan in the last over were enough to bring Afghanistan’s score to 129-6 and enable them to set Pakistan a target of 130 runs.

Haris finished with two wickets for the Men in Green, while Nawaz, Shadab, Hasnain, and Naseem all grabbed one wicket each. Naseem also took two wickets.
