After a disastrous batting performance against Afghanistan, Sri Lanka managed to achieve their second-greatest successful chase in the history of Twenty20 Internationals. Although Shakib Al Hasan’s team was fairly outstanding in practically every other aspect of the game in Dubai, they were assisted to some degree by the number of extras that Bangladesh bowled. This helped them win the game.
The best score for Sri Lanka was tallied by Kusal Mendis, who struck 60 off of 37 balls, while Dasun Shanaka, who captained the team, made 45 off of 33 balls. Their partnership helped Sri Lanka come out on top in a match that saw momentum go back and forth between the two teams on many occasions.

And it is due to the fact that Mahdi Hasan overstepped, the game was done! Because of the additional balls and runs, Bangladesh was unable to qualify for the Super Fours. The final delivery had been blasted down to the ground by Asitha Fernando, and the batsmen had run two to even up the score. After that, the hooter sounded, and the umpire indicated that there was no ball, which brought an end to the run chase.
Both sides played some desperate and wonderful cricket today, but in the end, it was Sri Lanka who came back from their defeat against Afghanistan to complete their second-highest run chase of all time in Twenty20 Internationals.
