The opposition teams have always found it literally tough to crack the code, especially when they play Test cricket in India. It is not an easy challenge for the teams to come here to India and get a good result.
The fact that India have lost only two Tests at home in the last decade goes to show how well India have dominated red-ball cricket. The upcoming Test series between India and Australia is certain to keep the fans on the edge of their seats.
The first of the four-match Test series between India and Australia will take place on February 9 (Thursday) at VCA Stadium in Nagpur. It remains to be seen which team will draw the first blood in the Border Gavaskar Trophy series.
It is going to be a complex challenge for Australia and they will have to work their socks off in order to pose a threat to Team India. Their last Test series win in India came in 2004 and since then, they failed to produce a spark whenever they toured India.
India could play four spinners in the playing XI: Reports
Meanwhile, according to a report from The Indian Express, India could play four spinners in the playing XI as the main idea is to prepare rank turners. Team India have always been at a major advantage when the pitch produces a great deal of turn.
The likes of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel are known to weave the magic with the ball by extracting quite a lot on the surfaces in Test cricket.
If the pitch curators prepare rank turners, then it will be extremely beneficial for the spinners to take control of the game from Day 1. The last time when Australia toured India in 2017, the Aussies won the first Test by 333 runs.
However, they succumbed to India’s pressure in the third and fourth Test respectively as they eventually went on to lose the Test series by 2-1.

Turning tracks can put a back fire on india too. Kuldeep should be in playing 11. Hope pitches will be favorable for battingand bowling both

Very good, make such a pitch that it should spin square from ball 1. Will backfire ofcourse. But trust our Spinners to be more skillful hence we got an edge.

This will badly backfire against India if they end up losing the toss. If India have to bat 4th, they'll have a very tough time countering Lyon, Agar, Head, Labuschagne etc

4 spinners not necessary, 3 is enough, if 3 cant get the job done then how is 4 gonna help ? We have to have variety in all 3 spin department, 4 spinner will only give rest to other bowlers when they dont need rest
