Team India received praise from BCCI President Sourav Ganguly following a strong showing against Pakistan on Sunday in Dubai. The match took place at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. After putting Pakistan in to bat first and bowling them out for 147 runs in 19.5 overs, the team captained by Rohit Sharma successfully chased down the score in the last over with five wickets in hand.
Team India came out on top against Pakistan
On Sunday, India kicked off their Asia Cup campaign in impressive fashion by claiming a victory against Pakistan by a score of five wickets. They were in the lead practically all of the time from the moment the match started at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, and they kept their composure right up to the very end to come out on top. The likes of Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Virat Kohli played exceptionally well in the massive game to fulfill their vengeance over their bitter opponents, who had humiliated them by a 10-wicket margin during the last T20 World Cup.
After being allowed to bat, the team headed by Babar Azam could only score 147 runs. Although Mohammad Rizwan scored 43, it took him 42 balls to get there since he had very little help from his teammates in the middle overs. Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan were responsible for India’s other three wickets, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik claimed a combined seven wickets between the two of them. As a result of this, for the first time, their fast bowlers claimed all 10 wickets in a T20I.
In their response, India was able to sneak through the finishing line in the last over thanks to Kohli’s 34, Jadeja’s 35, and Hardik’s breezy 33 not out off just 17 balls.
