Meanwhile, Gill, while speaking on Amazon Prime Video said he literally wants to tweak his batting approach. He added that he wants to increase the conversion rate of his batting by playing less dot balls.

He further added that it is vital to tick the flow of runs in the form of boundaries and sixes regularly. It will be quite interesting to see how this move pans out for the young Indian cricketer.

The 23-year-old cricketer has represented Team India in 11 Tests, 12 ODIs. He scored 579 runs in 11 Tests and 579 runs in 12 ODIs. Gill has hit 4 fifties in red-ball cricket, registering his personal best score of 91 against Australia at The Gabba.

On the other end of the spectrum, Gill smashed 3 fifties and 1 century to his name in the 50-over format. However, he is yet to make a debut in Twenty20 Internationals. He has been named in India’s T20I squad for the three-match T20I series against New Zealand.

Unfortunately, the first match between India and New Zealand was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to persistent rains at Sky Stadium in Wellington.
