In the championship match of the Asia Cup 2022, which is now taking place in the Dubai International Stadium, Sri Lanka and Pakistan are going head-to-head against one another. Haris Rauf, a feisty Pakistani fast bowler, dismissed Danushka Gunathilka with a scorching inswinger in the last over of the powerplay. The ball sent the off-stump for a cartwheel.
When the game started, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first, citing the pattern developing for the surface in Dubai. Shadab Khan and Naseem Shah made their way back into the starting eleven for Pakistan instead of Usman Qadir and Hasan Ali.
Haris Rauf bowls a gem of a delivery
Haris Rauf dismissed Danushka Gunathilaka with the first ball of the sixth over. Rauf smashed back middle and off stump, which led to Danushka’s dismissal. Gunathilka was utterly unaware when he bowled the ball at a speed of 151 kilometers per hour. Within the context of the Powerplay, Pakistan was able to deal Sri Lanka yet another significant blow.

At the beginning of Pakistan’s innings, Dilshan Madushanka delivered a no-ball as well as four wides, one of which went all the way to the boundary, before eventually sending in the first legal delivery. This gave Pakistan an advantage of ten runs. After that, though, they were jagged back by Pramod Madushan for successive deliveries, and they lost Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman. They are now putting their faith on Mohammad Rizwan, who has been Pakistan’s rock for the whole of this competition.
