Washington Sundar posts an emotional tweet
The Tamil Nadu all-rounder has been enjoying a decent IPL so far. While he was expensive in the first game, he recorded figures of 2/28, 2/21 and 0/14 in the next three matches. Hence, he was finding his groove and was all set to better his performances.
However, in an unfortunate incident, while fielding, he hurt his webbing and due to the hand injury, he is reportedly set to miss the next two games for his franchise. Injuries have troubled Washi in the last few months. While he missed a major chunk of last year including the UAE phase of IPL 2021 due to an injury, he had to stay outside a few more matches due to COVID. Hence, his situation has been a rollercoaster in the last few months. In line with this, the youngster posted an emotional tweet. Here is a look at it:

SRH will have a tough job replacing Washi
Washi was donning the role of the lead spinner for SRH so far. Barring Washi, SRH was barely using any spinner apart from the likes of Aiden Markram and Abhishek Sharma. Hence, they might find it hard to replace the cricketer, who also provides batting depth to the team.
At the moment, it looks like Shreyas Gopal will find a place in the XI. If not him, there are other options such as J Suchith and even Abdul Samad, who can provide a few overs of spin. It needs to be seen how SRH would perform without Sundar in the next few encounters.
