It is literally not that easy to be a fast bowler in the game of cricket because fast bowlers are the ones who get injured easily and it is important for them to do strength training on their knees and keep their legs in good condition.

Besides that, they also need to keep both their hands in good condition such that it helps them generate the necessary sheer pace from their release point. It is also no secret that fast bowlers tend to cope with injuries in their careers due to their workload and fatigue.

This is precisely the reason why the bowlers get rested for some games as part of workload management. Since the Indian squad comprises several players, it is so easy for the board to rotate players every now and then.

Selectors didn’t want to rush Jasprit Bumrah back despite being fit and available for selection

India’s premier paceman Jasprit Bumrah was out of cricketing action for a long time now owing to a back injury that prevented him from taking part in the Asia Cup 2022 followed by the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022.

The right-arm paceman’s absence was a big blow to India’s chances in both tournaments as they failed to brave the challenges that came their way. Earlier, they were knocked out of the Asia Cup following poor performances in the Super 4 stage.

On the other hand, Team India were pretty good in the group stage of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, finishing the group stage with as many as eight points. However, they were unable to stamp their authority against England in the semi-finals and thus they were eliminated from the competition.

According to a report by ESPNCricinfo, Jasprit Bumrah has recovered from the injury and is also fit and available for team selection but the Indian selectors didn’t want to rush him back into the mix.
