India and Pakistan are facing the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup 2022 in Dubai. Both teams headed into the match on the back of wins against Hong Kong. The arch-rivals would be hoping to give their best and bag a win under their belt to make their case strong in the tournament. Pakistan skipper Babar Azam won the toss and put India to bat. While the Men in Green made one change, there were three changes for the Rohit Sharma-led side.

Virat Kohli’s sensational innings help India post a total of 181 runs

After being asked to bat first, Indian openers Rohit Sharma (28) and KL Rahul (28) came out all guns blazing and gave their team a sensational start. However, after taking their team off the flyer, they both went back to the hut in quick succession.

The onus was then on Virat Kohli to take his side to the competitive total. The former Indian skipper held the one end while batters at the other end kept taking bowlers to the cleaners. Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, and Hardik Pandya tried hard but perished soon. However, Kohli kept India in the hunt and anchored the innings to keep the momentum intact for India.

While wickets kept tumbling at one wicket, Kohli looked in top form and reached his 32nd half-century in the T20Is. His innings of 60 runs in 44 balls powered India to 181 runs in their quota of 20 overs.
