Former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid’s contribution to the Indian national cricket team shall never be forgotten. Popularly known as “The Wall” of Indian cricket, Rahul Dravid is best known for his extended contribution in Tests and ODIs while playing for Team India.

The former Indian cricketer amassed 13,288 runs in Test cricket and 10,889 runs in One Day Internationals (ODIs), for a combined total of 24,177 runs in international cricket.

Rahul Dravid is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest batters of all time. As far as the longest format is concerned, he has a batting average of 52.31, including 36 centuries and 63 half-centuries. Notably, he is the fourth-highest run-scorer in the history of Test cricket.

In fact, he also has the record for facing the most number of balls in Test cricket. On the other hand, he has a batting average of 39.16, including 12 centuries and 83 half-centuries. Apart from his batting credentials, he was also a brilliant wicketkeeper.

After his long stint in international cricket, as a player came to a close, Rahul Dravid started a new chapter of his journey by kick-starting coaching duties. After his chapter with the young Indian team as head coach, now he is currently serving as the head coach of the Indian national cricket team.
