Cricket has always had its fair share of darkness and sadly when those incidents come to light, it becomes a nightmare, to say the least. And fans have always somehow dug out the darkest parts of the sport, even though it has come late. The latest addition to this long list of forgotten tales was none other than Yuzvendra Chahal.

On a show where Yuzi was seen coming undone to Ravichandran Ashwin has surfaced and honestly, his confession reveals just one thing and that is no matter how big of a cricket fan you are. At the end of the day, if you do not know where to draw the line, it has never been worth it.

This is what Yuzvendra Chahal had to say about the darkest story of his cricketing life

Rajasthan Royals and former RCB leg-spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal recounted one of the most horrific incidents that this cricketing world has done to him. Being skinny, Chahal has always been taunted for his body shape but what he was done as a part of the Mumbai Indians celebration by an unnamed teammate, would probably leave all of us rethinking the insides of an illustrious cricketing camp.

Talking to Ashwin, he quoted, “I never told this story, from today everyone will know. I never shared this. This dates back to 2013 when I was with Mumbai Indians we had a match in Bangalore. There was a get-together after that. So there was a player who was very drunk, I won’t say his name. He was very drunk, he was looking at me for a long time and he just called me and he took me outside and he hung me on the balcony.”

He further added, “And my hands were around him, like this (behind the neck). Had I lost my grip, I was on the 15th floor. Suddenly many people who were there came and they handled it. I kind of fainted, they gave me water. Then I realized how responsible we need to be when we go anywhere. So this was one incident where I felt I made a narrow escape. Had there been the slightest of mistakes, I would’ve fallen down.”

Another news that is already doing vehement rounds is him talking about Andrew Symonds and James Franklin. So far as reported by multiple publications, it states, “It was 2011 when MI won the CL. A Symonds drank a lot of fruit juice during the party. He tied my hands & Franklin tied my legs. The task for me was to open it. But they forgot that they had put tape on my mouth. Next morning, a cleaner came & saw me & got me out of it.”

Fun is alright and should be an integral part of the sport but then when the chapter gets dark, one should always know that the lines shouldn’t be crossed.
