The DC franchise suffered a huge blow after the franchise’s Director of Cricket, Sourav Ganguly confirmed that Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League.

While speaking on Match Centre Live, Viacom18 Sports expert Pragyan Ojha reserved the highest respect for Rishabh Pant at Delhi Capitals. According to him, Phil Salt is someone who can fill Pant’s shoes and crack the code in the sixteenth edition of the IPL.

Phil Salt who is currently playing for Pretoria Capitals in the SA20 league scored an unbeaten 77 off 47 balls against Sunrisers Eastern Cape. His red-hot form is a massive boost to Delhi Capitals and the franchise will be hoping that he carries his rich vein of form into the IPL 2023 season.

Delhi Capitals acquired the services of Phil Salt for INR 2 crore at the IPL 2023 mini-auction in Kochi. Pragyan Ojha reckons that the DC think-tank will be looking at Phil Salt as one of the vital cogs where he can come and fix the leaks wherever required.
