Mumbai Indians recently churned out a brilliant result against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the previous game at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. They chased down the target of 200 in just 16.3 overs and climbed to the second spot.

Amid Mumbai Indians’ quick rebound in the competition, they were dealt with a huge blow after star paceman Jofra Archer has been ruled out of the remainder of the tournament due to an injury.

Mumbai Indianss purchased the Barbados-born paceman for INR 8 crore at the IPL 2022 mega auction in Bengaluru. Needless to say, he didn’t feature for Mumbai Indians in the last season due to injury.

He made a comeback in the sixteenth edition but his comeback was far from impressive. He played five games for the five-time IPL champions this season but managed to take only two wickets.

Besides that, he was easily tonked by the batters this season. He didn’t quite live up to his reputation as a bowler for Mumbai Indians, in what was a massive disappointment to the franchise and the fans.
