In response to the remarks made by Doull, the conversation was continued by Grant Elliott, a former cricketer for New Zealand, who stated his opinion that Williamson was handed the duty to lead his nation a little bit too early in his career.

“Unfortunately, he was given the captaincy at such a young age, and there are a lot of duties that come with being captain. It’s a hit for some folks and a miss for others. I believe it’s up to Kane whether he appreciates it or not, but I think it would take a lot of weight off of his batting.
