Royal Challengers Bangalore are locking horns with Kolkata Knight Riders in the 36th game of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. Meanwhile, the game is taking place at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s interim captain Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bowl first. The two-time IPL champions got off to a sterling start to the game in the form of Jason Roy.

Jason Roy and N Jagadeesan opened the innings together wherein they added 83-run stand. While Jason Roy fired all the cylinders by smashing fours and sixes with ease, N Jagadeesan failed to bring the best out of himself.

KKR’s opening batter N Jagadeesan struggled to go about his business in the match day as he ended up playing out too many dot balls during the passage of play, which didn’t do any good to KKR in the powerplay overs.

N Jagadeesan chipped in with 27 off 29 balls (4 fours) at a strike rate of 93.10, which absolutely mounted pressure on the KKR. However, it was Jason Roy who took pressure on the team by smashing a quick-fire fifty off 22 balls.

KKR’s wicketkeeper-batsman N Jagadeesan was dismissed by Vijaykumar Vyshak in the second ball of the 10th over. Meanwhile, Jason Roy ended up scoring 56 off 29 balls including 4 fours and 5 sixes to his name before he was dismissed by Vijaykumar Vyshak in the last ball of the 10th over. Nitish Rana scored 48 off 21 balls including 3 fours and four sixes.
