India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson has finally been duly rewarded with an opportunity to feature in the starting XI in the first T20I against the Sri Lankan cricket team.

On the other hand, the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer have not been listed in the T20I squad against Sri Lanka. The aforementioned players will be back in cricketing action for the three-match ODI series.

Hardik Pandya is leading the Indian cricket team from the front for the T20I series against Dasun Shanaka-led team. Notably, Hardik Pandya boasts a pretty good record as T20I captain as he hasn’t lost a single game. Having led the team in five games so far, the Indian cricket team have tasted four wins whereas the other game ended in a tie.
