2022 has been a disastrous year for Pakistan and its supporters with regard to the longest format of the game. Earlier, Babar Azam and Co failed to qualify for the WTC final for the second consecutive time.

They also failed to turn up the heat in the Test series at home where they lost to Australia in the three-match Test series. While the first two games ended in a draw, the third game ended in favour of Pat Cummins and Co.

England cricket team showed no mercy on the hosts as they inflicted a 3-0 whitewash on Pakistan. This was also the first time that Pakistan lost four Tests in a row at home and it was also their first-ever whitewash at home.
