“How You Rise From The Floor Is A Measure”- Harsha Bhogle Comments On Suryakumar Yadav Recording 3 Golden Ducks

Popular Indian commentator Harsha Bhogle gave his opinion on Suryakumar Yadav recording three consecutive ducks in the series against the Australian cricket team. The three-match ODI series between the Indian cricket team and the Australian cricket team is in the history books now, with the Aussies winning the series by a scoreline of 2-1.

Australia ended India’s unbeaten streak in home ODI series with the recent win. Suryakumar Yadav, who is the top-ranked batter in the world in T20I format, received a chance to prove himself in the ODI format in the series. However, he failed to make it count.

Yadav started the series with a golden duck at his home venue, Wankhede Stadium, with Mitchell Starc trapping him in front of the stumps on the first ball that he faced. Next, the two teams traveled to Vizag, but there was no change in the fortunes of Yadav as Starc dismissed him LBW on the first ball once again.

The final ODI of the series happened in Chennai earlier today. It was the spinner Ashton Agar, who dismissed Yadav for another golden duck. Reacting to Yadav’s failure in the series, commentator Harsha Bhogle wrote on Twitter:

“This game gives so much and yet, tests its players by dragging them deep. In the space of four months Suryakumar Yadav has seen it all. That is why it is said: how you rise from the floor is a measure of who you are. Looking forward to seeing him in the #TataIPL.”

Who should replace Suryakumar Yadav in India’s playing XI in ODIs?

It is a World Cup year, and both Shreyas Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav seem unlikely to make it to the Indian World Cup squad. Iyer is currently out of action with an injury, while Yadav has been struggling with his form.

Even Rishabh Pant is not available. This might compel the selectors to try a new player like Rajat Patidar or Rahul Tripathi in the middle-order before the World Cup.
