India’s top-tier T20I batsman Suryakumar Yadav has made a long-lasting impression in the truncated version of the game by putting up consistent performances for the team.
The right-handed batsman literally knows the game better than anyone else in T20Is at the moment. He seems to be batting fearlessly and effortlessly against the opponents and which is why he holds the numero uno spot in the ICC Men’s T20I player rankings.
His style of batting is often compared to AB de Villiers. Despite all the talks, Suryakumar Yadav stated that he wants to be himself and also conceded that there is only Mr 360 and it is one and only AB de Villiers.
Suryakumar Yadav who has been one of the vital cogs of India’s batting department has already won more player of the match awards than any other player ever since he made his T20I debut in 2021. Popularly known as Sky, the Mumbai-born cricketer has won a record eleven player of the match awards.
Suryakumar Yadav achieves career-best ratings in T20Is
Meanwhile, in what comes as a major improvement in Suryakumar Yadav’s T20I career, the star batsman has achieved career-best ratings in the shortest format of the game.
The 32-year-old has achieved 910 ratings in T20Is, which is quite an exceptional achievement. In addition to that, he is only six ratings away from achieving the highest-ever rating by a batsman in the history of T20Is.
Suryakumar Yadav is currently part of the ongoing T20I series against the New Zealand cricket team. The star cricketer was named the player of the match in the second T20I for displaying calmness and composure during the passage of play.
He remained unbeaten on 26 off 31 balls including a boundary as he steered Team India to a victory by smashing a boundary in the penultimate ball of the 20th over of India’s innings. Suryakumar Yadav will be looking forward to doing well in the third and final T20I against the Black Caps.
