Sarfaraz Khan made the headlines recently after he made a shocking revelation about the fact that he was promised that he would get a chance to represent Team India for the two-match Test series against the Bangladesh cricket team.
The 25-year-old added that he had a word with the selectors after he scored a century in the Ranji Trophy final recently. He said he would get a chance to feature for India in Bangladesh Tests.
However, as it turned out, the selectors didn’t pick despite Sarfaraz Khan making waves in domestic cricket. The right-handed batter made the statement after he was not named in the Test squad for the first two games against Australia.
Sarfaraz Khan continues his dream touch with the bat in Ranji Trophy
Meanwhile, the right-handed batter is playing against Delhi in the ongoing Ranji Trophy tournament at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. Batting first, the Mumbai cricket team were in a spot of bother after they lost four wickets inside 23 overs.
While Prithvi Shaw scored 40 runs at the top of the order, the likes of Musheer Khan, Armaan Jaffer and Ajinkya Rahane departed for cheap scores in the first innings. However, Sarfaraz Khan held his nerves and played quite sensibly.
In the process, he went on to score a superb half-century, a much-needed knock that helped the team steer clear of any danger. The right-handed batsman smashed as many as ten boundaries so far.
At the time of writing this article, the 25-year-old is batting on 59 off 80 balls at a strike rate of 73.75. On the other side of the coin, the Delhi cricket team largely benefitted from the services of Pranshu Vijayran.
The right-arm medium-fast bowler led the bowling attack by example as he accounted for four dismissals whereas Divij Mehra took one wicket to his name. Mumbai scored 163/5 in 43 overs.

Man has the ability to bat under tremendous pressure. It has been already shown in U19WC 2016.
