The performance at an event like the T20 World Cup will have a high influence on the decisions of IPL franchises. Especially with the Mega Auctions happening before IPL 2025, a few cricketers who did not do well in the recent ICC event will be a bit anxious. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three under-performers in the 2024 T20 World Cup who might be unsold in IPL 2025 Auctions.

1) David Warner

David Warner is one of the under-performers in the 2024 T20 World Cup who might be unsold in IPL 2025 Auctions. Warner has retired from all forms of the game and has made himself available for all the leagues.

Had he done better in the T20 World Cup, his position would have been good. Now that both IPL 2024 and 2024 T20 WC did not end well for him, Warner might be unsold. It is a bit of a shock because he is one of the most successful overseas players in IPL.

2) Kane Williamson

Kane Williamson just played a game before he went back to the bench on IPL 2024. It might have been a great platform for him at the T20 World Cup to show that he is still one of the best batters going around. However, that failed to happen.

Williamson might now surprisingly go unsold before the next campaign. His T20 form is not great and barring as an opener, he struggles to adapt himself these days. Therefore, his IPL contract may not be secure for the future.

3) Moeen Ali

Considering his age and diminishing contributions, Moeen Ali might not find himself a contract for IPL 2025. Teams could go behind younger and more consistent cricketers.

That said, the scenario might have been different had Moeen done well for England in the World Cup. He failed to have a good show and that could lead to a disappointment for him at the auctions.
