Foreigners who want to be a part of IPL will now have to be very careful about their expectations. If you have a high base price but you are not a mandatory signing for any team, you could go unsold. Reducing the base price is one option for such players. Here, we take a look at three veteran foreigners who must reduce their base price or they could be unsold in IPL 2025 Auctions.

1) David Warner

David Warner is one of the veteran foreigners who must reduce their base price or they could be unsold in IPL 2025 Auctions. The Aussie did not enjoy a good run in IPL 2024. He was dropped from the playing XI after a few games.

Now, Warner’s form is not that great. In other T20 leagues, as well, he has not been at his best. Considering his age, as well, not many teams could take a punt on him. Hence, he is on this list.

2) Kane Williamson

Kane Williamson was sold only at his base price in IPL 2023. Since then, he has not played a lot of IPL cricket. Also, his form for New Zealand in the T20I format is also not that great.

Skill-wise, Williamson does not offer much to an IPL franchise. He prefers a role in the top-order but finds it hard to change gears. Usually, an IPL Team would prefer an Indian to play this role. Therefore, unless he reduces his base price, it will be very hard for him to find an IPL team for the next campaign.

3) Moeen Ali

Moeen Ali is already losing form and it would be a surprise if any team decides to trust him for the next season. His only chance will be to reduce his base price.

As a backup, Moeen offers a lot of incentives to a side. He is experienced, a left-handed slogger and a decent off-spinner. Therefore, if he has a low base price, some teams could go for him.
