Mumbai Indians need a strong domestic spinner. The top franchise that they are, it was not a surprise that they went after the best Indian spinner at the moment.

3) R Sai Kishore

R Sai Kishore did not play in IPL 2023. This is despite his brilliant display in IPL 2023. Gujarat Titans will continue with the duo of Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad in the spin attack. Hence, Sai might not get to play a lot in IPL 2024. It is disappointing considering he recently made his debut for India.

Sai at Mumbai would have been perfect for both parties. The Tamil Nadu man would have led the spin attack and Sai would have also got more opportunities. However, it is understandable from GT that they did not let this happen.
