Rahul Dravid has rejoined Rajasthan Royals. As a part of his blueprint to help RR win another title, Dravid could hire a few players who formerly represented the franchise. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three former Rajasthan Royals players whom Rahul Dravid could sign in the IPL 2025 Auctions.

Note: We have considered players who are likely to be released by their current outfits.

1) Jofra Archer

While RR will try to get back Trent Boult, they might not want to go too far for the Kiwi. He is 35 and he is mostly dangerous in the powerplay overs. RR might get other options for who can replace Boult in the XI.

That said, if someone like Jofra Archer is available, RR must be adamant about signing him. He is an all-phase bowler and Jofra did well for RR when he represented the franchise in the past. He would solve several issues in the pace attack for RR.

2) Deepak Hooda

Deepak Hooda is one of the former Rajasthan Royals players whom Rahul Dravid could sign in the IPL 2025 Auctions. It was at RR that Deepak Hooda first came into the limelight. Interestingly, it was when Rahul Dravid was the Mentor that Deepak did well for RR.

Deepak also played for India when Dravid was the Head Coach. RR needs a good player of spin at No.4. Riyan Parag is brilliant against pace and they might use him at No.5. Since Deepak also provides a few overs with the ball, he can come back to RR.

3) Glenn Phillips

If RR somehow manages to get a similar combination back for IPL 2025, then they would need an upgrade over Rovman Powell. This player must also be Shimron Hetmyer’s backup.

Not many know that Glenn Phillips was once a part of the RR franchise. He played three games for them. Unfortunately, he hardly got to play for SRH. Considering his potential, he would be a solid option for RR to consider.
