Chennai Super Kings surrendered at the hands of Rajasthan Royals in the first leg meeting at home as they lost the game by a whisker of five runs. Meanwhile, the second leg between these two teams is taking place at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.’
Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson won the toss and chose to bat first. The hosts took the bowling attack to the cleaners with counter-attacking approach, courtesy of batting masterclass from Yashasvi Jaiswal who inflicted quite a lot of damage on CSK.
Whatever the left-handed batter touched turned to gold as the Royals largely benefitted from his services. He was also the pick of the batters for the Royals as he scored 77 off 43 balls before he was dismissed by Tushar Deshpande.

Devon Conway gets dismissed for 8 off 16 balls against RR in IPL 2023
Chennai Super Kings’ star opening batsman Devon Conway has been in scintillating form in the ongoing edition of the IPL. Notably, he is also the third-leading run-scorer this season.
The left-handed batter scored 322 runs in eight innings this season. He was expected to dictate the terms and dominate the proceedings from the get-go against the Royals.
Needless to say, he ended up mounting pressure on himself as he consumed too many dot balls inside the powerplay overs. He scored eight runs off 16 balls at a strike rate of 50 and was dismissed by Adam Zampa.
