Basically the pitch renovation is done to create a consistent playing surface for cricket games, while also absolutely making sure that the pitch remains equally challenging for both batsmen and bowlers.

As per the Times of India report, the BCCI already sent a curator panel and made up their mind to renovate the pitch. However, it didn’t work properly as they had only 50 days before the start of sixteenth season of IPL.

The report further mentioned that Lucknow Super Giants were not too happy with the BCCI’s resolution and lacked clarity about the pitch conditions just before their first game against the Delhi Capitals.

Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants already lost their last three games at home. LSG literally failed to chase down the low-scoring totals against the likes of Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
