Indian head coach Rahul Dravid reflected on the series win against Australia and South Africa. He said that they have worked hard and they are hoping to bring smiles to the faces of fans. He also said that he’s pleased with the result ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022.
“Good to get the right results in both series,” says Indian head coach Rahul Dravid
Indian Cricket Team has had decent preparation ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022. After a poor campaign in Asia Cup, they were under the scanner and also faced criticism for their disappointing performances.
However, they rectified their mistakes in the home series against Australia and South Africa. They kick-started the series against the Aaron Finch-led side with a massive loss but after that, they made a strong comeback and won two matches on the trot to clinch the series.
So Rohit confirms the replacement will be decided after reaching Australia. Probably the net sessions and unofficial warm-up games will decide.Advertisement

If this was not enough they then thumped South Africa in the first two games of the series by big margins to make the statement. But fell short in the third game. Although, they played well but death bowling will be one of the major concerns for them.
However, Rahul Dravid was pleased with the results. Speaking to broadcasters after the series against South Africa, he said:
“Good to get the right results in both series. In this format, you need luck, and things to go your way, especially in close games. We didn’t have that in the Asia Cup, but had some luck vs. Australia. We were able to rotate the squad a bit. Pleased with how it’s gone overall.”
“We made a decision after the last T20 WC,” Rahul Dravid talks about the aggressive batting approach
Since the last T20 World Cup, India has changed their approach. They have played the aggressive brand of cricket and it’s fair to say it has been successful for them. He said.
“We made a decision after the last T20 WC, sat down with Rohit, made a conscious effort to be positive. We have the batsmanship to play positively, we had to structure our squad with batting depth. Pleased with the way we’ve come along.”
India will be playing two matches against Western Australia XI on 10th and 13th October from 4pm for the World Cup preparations.Advertisement

“We are going to do our best, we’ve really worked hard and we can just hope for the best. In tournaments like those, you need to play really well but we need a bit of luck as well. We hope to bring smiles to people’s faces.
