However, on Friday, in what was a piece of shocking news, it was announced that Warne had succumbed to a suspected heart attack. He was only 52, had a great fitness regime and hence, it was shocking for the fans to believe the news. The cricketing community is now mourning the loss of an all-time great of the game.

Back in the 1990s, the duel of Shane Warne and Sachin Tendulkar was an engrossing moment on the field. Shane Warne made his Test debut back in 1992 against India at Sydney. Sachin Tendulkar scored a hundred in that game while Warne got a wicket. Many assumed that this was the first time that the duo was involved in an on-field duel. However, as revealed by Rob Moody, Sachin and Warne had a go at each other a few months back in a PM’s XI in Canberra. Sachin struggled to play Warne in the first few deliveries.
