After the dismal defeats in the first two games, the third Test has also ended in a loss. Australia defeated England by an innings and 14 runs in the third Test at MCG. This embarrassment was mainly due to England’s lacklustre batting show, especially in the second innings. Naturally, the England fans had to take some banter on the internet due to their team’s loss. The team had a horrid start with the bat in the second innings which saw them lingering at 31-4 at the end of Day 2. The morning of Day 3 was even worse. England was bowled out for just 68, with debutante Scott Boland picking six wickets while bowling just four overs. Joe Root and Ben Stokes were the only English batters who could get to double digits. Eventually, it was a terrible defeat for England in the circumstances.
