The Men in Blue came under fire for their lethargic approach in the second semi-final of T20 World Cup against the England cricket team at Adelaide Oval in Adelaide very recently. Although they posted a pretty decent total on the board, they were totally clueless in terms of defending.

Indian bowlers hardly made a move and even before they tried to mount pressure on the Englishmen, the damage was already done by Alex Hales and Jos Buttler.

The openers weaved the magic with their willows, scored runs when it mattered the most and helped the team secure a comfortable and dominant win over Rohit Sharma and Co as England aced the run-chase with four overs to spare.

England won the game by 10 wickets and inflicted a painful defeat on Team India. The Three Lions beat Pakistan in the final and lifted their second title. Meanwhile, Indian national cricket team won their first title by beating Pakistan back in 2007 under the tutelage of MS Dhoni in South Africa.

Since then, they struggled to win their second T20 World Cup. Meanwhile, India’s stand-in captain, Hardik Pandya who is in charge for the New Zealand T20I series confirmed that a lot of cricketers will get enough chances ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024.

Now that the opportunity to win the T20 World Cup slipped away from India’s hands, the team management will have to tweak their approach quite a bit to ensure that they get proper results in the marquee events.
