For the record, Rohit Sharma’s remarkable century against the Pakistan cricket team in the ICC ODI World Cup 2019 became the first-ever video clip to cross 100 million views on the ICC YouTube channel.

Rohit Sharma had a breakthrough tournament at that time as he scored a record five centuries in the marquee event. Notably, he finished the ICC ODI World Cup 2019 as the leading run-scorer.

He recorded as many as 648 runs under his belt in the mega event at a flamboyant batting average of 81.00 from just nine games. He smashed centuries against the likes of South Africa, Pakistan, England, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka respectively.

However, his century against arch-rivals, Pakistan turned out to be a special one. He scored 140 off 113 balls and constructed his innings with the help of 14 boundaries and three hits over the fence at a strike rate of 123.89 at Manchester. Rohit Sharma was adjudged the man of the match for his impeccable knock. Team India won by 89 runs (D/L method).
