“They don’t even know who made her run-out”, Twitter user reacts to poor graphics for Women’s T20 Challenge

The Women’s T20 Challenge kicked off yesterday with a brilliant collision between the Supernovas and the Trailblazers where the former walked away with the bragging rights. It was an all-round display from the Supernovas that saw them clinching a clinical victory.

Harmanpreet Kaur would lead the charge for the Supernovas with a brilliant batting display that saw her racking up 37 off 29 balls while Harleen Deol would smash a quickfire 35 laced with the perfect support from Deandra Dottin.

Here is what the Twitter user had to say about Deandra Dottin’s runout in the Women’s T20 Challenge

Hayley Matthews would spearhead the charge with figures of 3 for 29 while Salma Khatun would pick 2 for 30. Dottin’s fiery start would come to an end after getting run out by Sharmin Akhter. However, while she was walking back, the display on the streams and TVs was so poor that it wouldn’t even show who was she run-out by.

Honestly, this isn’t a new show in women’s cricket. In fact, unlike the men’s cricket, when the women take part in the World Cup, probably a few results go here and that’s pretty much the end of the story. Maybe if we are going to the finals, the world would start making a few posters and make a few notes on why women’s cricket should be supported, a few good-looking cricketers would even become the national crush for her looks instead of cricket and that is it.

After all, who cares about women’s cricket? As Eobard Thawne would put it, women’s cricket was dead for centuries and if all the hue and cry surrounding it, makes you believe that it is actually waking up from the dead, it is still lightyears away from when we can truly say that women’s cricket is waking up. Twitter was absolutely furious about what happened with Dottin and expressed their anger against it.
