Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul has come under fire for his poor batting form in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. In the first game against Delhi Capitals, he scored 8 off 12 deliveries.
During the second game against Chennai Super Kings, KL Rahul scored 20 off 18 balls. Talking about his performance in the third game against Royal Challengers Bangalore, he failed to bring the best out of himself.
KL Rahul was expected to dominate the proceedings against his favourite opponent. His record in the last seven innings against RCB has been really impressive as he chipped in with scores of 42 (27), 132* (69), 61* (49), 91* (57), 39 (35), 30 (24) and 79 (58).
KL Rahul scores 18 off 20 against RCB
A lot was expected of LSG captain KL Rahul in the run-chase. However, all those expectations turned into mere disappointment because KL Rahul struggled to get going when the team required him.
LSG captain failed to lead the batting attack by example as he ended up scoring 18 off 20 balls where he struck just one boundary to his name at a strike rate of 90.
KL Rahul found it really tough to go about his business and as it turned out, he fell prey to Mohammed Siraj’s bowling in the first ball of the 12th over of LSG’s innings as Virat Kohli took a very good catch.
Soon after KL Rahul’s departure, netizens took to their respective social media handles and then slammed the batter for his poor form. Earlier, RCB posted a humongous total of 212/2 in their quota of 20 overs. Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell and Virat Kohli scored 79, 59 and 61 runs respectively.
