South African international Aiden Markram was roped in as the new skipper of the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise. The talented cricketer who has a wealth of T20 experience in his resume will be looking forward to the new role.
Sunrisers Hyderabad who used to be one of the most consistent teams in the IPL literally struggled to produce the right results in the last few seasons. The Orange Army deviated from their track and ended up losing games more often than not.
The last time when the Sunrisers won the championship was back in the IPL 2016 season as they defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore to win their maiden title. However, since then, they didn’t have the extra surge to win the trophy.
Moreover, their performances in the last seasons deteriorated which led to the massive downfall of the club. However, they have signed some top players in the IPL mini-auction in Kochi and now, it seems to be a proper team.
I want to create an environment at Sunrisers Hyderabad: Aiden Markram
Aiden Markram who will be leading Sunrisers Hyderabad in the upcoming edition of the IPL echoed that he wants to do it his way and which is to create an environment or the atmosphere at SRH.
While speaking to TOI, Aiden Markram echoed that he wants to create an environment at the Sunrisers Hyderabad. The Proteas cricketer reckons that it will really help the team defy the odds and achieve a great deal of success in the upcoming season.
Speaking on the same lines, he further added that players can be themselves and express themselves on the field, which might as well bring a new change in their approach going forward.
Sunrisers Hyderabad missed out on qualifying for the playoffs in the previous season. They finished eighth on the points table with six wins and eight defeats and collected 12 points in the league stage.
