Mumbai Indians’ star batsman Suryakumar Yadav played one heck of an inning against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the just-concluded match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Just as when the team required someone to deliver, Suryakumar Yadav held his nerves and played a fearless brand of cricket. He once again carved out a reputation for himself as a flamboyant batter in the run-chase.

Suryakumar Yadav mounted immense pressure on the RCB bowlers by smashing sixes and fours with relative ease. He scored a quickfire 83 off just 35 balls where he struck 7 fours and 6 sixes to his name.

Suryakumar Yadav anchored the innings ever so well as he played at a sensational strike rate of 237.14. He changed the entire complexion of the game with his batting masterclass as Mumbai Indians largely benefitted from his services in the run-chase.

Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore posted 199/7 in their quota of 20 overs with the help of Glenn Maxwell’s 68 and Faf du Plessis’ 61. In reply, Mumbai Indians successfully chased down the target in 16.3 overs.

The five-time IPL champions won the game by six wickets and climbed to the third spot in the table. Earlier, they were at the eighth position and after this spectacular win, they moved higher up the points table.
