The upcoming IPL 2023 mini-auction is less than a few days away from going all guns blazing in Kochi on December 23 (Friday). Meanwhile, the franchises must have already figured out which players they need to pick in the auction.
The cricket fraternity is eagerly waiting to witness the auction and one thing is for sure, we can expect massive bidding wars for the top players. It remains to be seen which player emerges to become the costliest player at the auction.
Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer, Anil Kumble gave his views on Zimbabwe international Sikandar Raza as to where the all-rounder would end up in the forthcoming auction.
Sikandar Raza could be an overseas spin choice for Mumbai Indians, says Anil Kumble
Anil Kumble, who is the Head Coach and the Director of Cricket Operations of Punjab Kings said that Sikandar Raza could be an overseas spin choice for the Mumbai Indians franchise.
Anil Kumble also reserved the highest respect for Sikandar Raza by adding that the all-rounder can deliver the goods with the bat and ball. He backed his statement by adding that Raza can be a handy batsman in the middle order.
Besides that, he can also weave the magic with his spin bowling, which is not really easy to pick, Kumble’s comments spread like wildfire on social media portals.
Sikandar Raza registered himself at the IPL 2023 mini-auction for his base price of INR 50 lakhs. Raza made a real case for himself in the recently-concluded ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup 2022 held in Australia.
Sikandar Raza accumulated 219 runs to his name and smashed as many as 11 sixes, the most by any other player in the showpiece event. On the other hand, he has accounted for 10 dismissals with the ball.
Mumbai Indians failed to execute their plans in the last season and which is why they finished at the bottom of the points table. However, they will make sure to get all their basics right in the sixteenth edition of the IPL.
Sikandar Raza gonna be the richest person soon in Zimbabwe!

No man please no MI don't need him. MI have already Tilak, Brevis & David to bowl part time spin so, It's better to go for fast bowling all-rounder & one proper wicket-taker spinner.
