CSK all-rounder Sam Curran has written an emotional message for all his fans on social media after being ruled out of the IPL due to a lower back injury. Sam has been a key part of the CSK set-up in the last couple of years and played an important role in CSK’s brilliant start to the season earlier this year in the first leg of IPL in India.
In the second leg in the UAE, Sam didn’t get the opportunity first up as he arrived late and the experienced West Indian all-rounder Dwayne Bravo played ahead of him, but he still got to play a couple of games when Bravo was rested, however, he seemed a bit out of rhythm.
Injury has ruled Sam Curran out of the T20 World Cup as well, which will happen right after IPL
This injury has come at a very wrong time in Sam Curran’s career as it has not only ruled him out of the remaining part of the IPL, it has ruled him out of the upcoming T20 World Cup as well, which will take place in the UAE itself.
Sam was picked in the England 15-member squad for the World Cup, however now he has been replaced by his brother Tom Curran, who was among the three stand-bys England had named while announcing the squad.

Sam has so far played 16 T20 international games for England and 32 games in the Indian Premier League, taking as many wickets as the no. of games respectively. The southpaw had actually started his IPL career at Kings XI Punjab before being bought by CSK ahead of IPL 2020.
