It was a forgetful campaign for the Syndey Thunder franchise as they ran through a series of nightmares when they locked horns with Adelaide Strikers in the fifth match of the ongoing Big Bash League.

Sydney Thunder neither had ideas nor had any solution as they were skittled out for a mere 15 in the run-chase. Fans from every nook and corner of the cricket fraternity took to Twitter and lashed out at Sydney Thunder for their terrible batting performance.

Earlier, Adelaide Strikers won the toss and chose to bat first. They posted a modest total of 139 for the loss of nine wickets in their quota of 20 overs. Chris Lynn top-scored with 36 off 27 balls including 4 fours and a six.

Colin de Grandhomme chipped in with 33 off 24 balls including two fours and two hits over the fence. On the other hand, Fazalhaq Farooqi accounted for three dismissals.

Gurinder Sandhu, Daniel Sams and Brendan Doggett accounted for two dismissals apiece as Sydney Thunder bowlers did a pretty decent job in restricting the opposition to a low-scoring total.

Well, Sydney Thunder had all the tools and resources at their disposal to chase down the target. However, they messed up the plans completely, leading to a miserable batting collapse.

For the first time in the history of the T20 format, Sydney Thunder registered the lowest-ever T20 score and the fact that the team were bowled out inside the powerplay overs goes to show how badly they performed in the game.

Sydney Thunder had the likes of Alex Hales, Rilee Rossouw and others in their ranks but all the players were dismissed for single-digit scores, with most of them getting dismissed for ducks.
