AB de Villiers who represented Delhi Daredevils (Delhi Capitals now) and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League has done incredibly well for both teams during his stint in the IPL.
He succeeded as a batsman and as a fielder. However, spent the majority of his stint at Royal Challengers Bangalore where he created so many memories at the club over the years.
One of the most iconic moments that will always be remembered by the fans was when he turned ‘Superman’ to take a flying catch in the IPL 2018 edition to dismiss Alex Hales.
The incident happened when Moeen Ali who was playing for RCB at that time bowled a short-pitched delivery a tad outside the off-stump. It tempted Alex Hales to go for the big shot.
While he thought that his strike was so clean and that would go for a six, AB de Villiers defied physics and then took a mesmerizing catch in his right hand. This iconic moment is still remembered even today and it’s been five years now.
