Former Indian cricket team captain Sachin Tendulkar recently formed his all-time cricket XI. Interestingly, he selected four Indian players in the team, but there was no place for former Indian cricket team captains MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. Even current Indian ODI and T20I cricket team captain Rohit Sharma did not receive a place.

The opening pair is two of the greatest batters of all time – Virender Sehwag and Sunil Gavaskar. Both can dominate any bowling attack on the planet. The next two batters in the team were from West Indies. Tendulkar went with former West Indies cricket team captains Vivian Richards and Brian Lara as the number three and four batters.

He picked one of the greatest all-rounders in world cricket, Jacques Kallis to complete the Top 5. Then, Tendulkar went with his former opening partner and another batter who can bowl pace, Sourav Ganguly. The wicket-keeper of this team is former Australian cricket team opening batter Adam Gilchrist.

Sachin Tendulkar named Harbhajan Singh as the only Indian bowler in his all-time XI

In the bowling unit, Sachin Tendulkar picked one leg-spinner and one off-spinner. The leg-spinner is former Australian cricket team bowler Shane Warne and the 2011 Cricket World Cup winner Harbhajan Singh. The two fast bowlers in the team were former Pakistan cricket team captain Wasim Akram and former Australian cricket team captain Glenn McGrath.

All of the players have retired now. Sachin did not pick himself in the team, but it looks strong enough to beat even the best unit globally. It has all the bases covered in all departments. Here’s a look at the full all-time XI of Sachin:

Sachin Tendulkar’s all-time XI: Virender Sehwag, Sunil Gavaskar, Brian Lara, Viv Richards, Jacques Kallis, Sourav Ganguly, Adam Gilchrist (WK), Shane Warne, Wasim Akram, Harbhajan Singh, and Glenn McGrath.
